Privacy Policy

Overview

This page is maintained by the Mise team to explain what data Mise collects, why, and how we handle it. It is not a legal certification. By using Mise, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

• Account information — email, sign-in identifiers, and profile details you provide.
• Bar operations data — inventory counts, invoices, recipes, orders, and recaps you enter or upload.
• Device data — push notification tokens (mobile) and basic diagnostics to keep the app reliable.
• Usage data — anonymized events used to improve reliability and performance.

How we use it

• To operate the product: sign-in, sync, notifications, and features you actively use.
• To generate suggestions such as reorder recommendations from your own data.
• To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.

AI features & third-party AI

Some features are powered by artificial intelligence. When you actively use one of them, the specific content below is sent to Google Gemini so it can read, transcribe, or generate a response:

• Scan an invoice — the invoice/delivery-slip image you capture or upload.
• Voice recap — the audio you record, transcribed into text.
• Recap & quick-add parsing — the recap or product-list text you enter, along with your item and recipe names, so it can match them to your bar.
• Recipe suggestions — the cocktail name you ask about, along with your item names.

We do not send your name, email, or payment information to the AI service. That content is used only to return the result you asked for — it is not used to train third-party models, and audio and images are not retained by the AI provider after the request completes. You are asked to consent before any content is sent to the AI service the first time you use an AI feature, and you can decline. Google processes this data under its own terms (Google AI terms).

Other third-party processors

We also rely on trusted infrastructure providers (hosting, database, authentication, and push delivery) to run the service. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security commitments and do not use it for their own purposes.

Your data, your control

• Access, export, or delete your account data by emailing us.
• Turn off push notifications from your device settings at any time.
• We do not sell your data.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with row-level access controls so each account only sees its own data. No system is perfectly secure — report suspected issues to the contact below.

Children

Mise is a workplace tool and not intended for children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new "Last updated" date.
